Update
your ILDA Membership directory listings
If you are an ILDA Member, you can update
your contact information and Description in ILDA's database.

For Corporate and
Nonprofit Members, we recommend that you update the Description to
accurately describe your company's goods and services. Potential clients
can enter search terms, to try to find a laser show supplier. If your
description has those search terms, they can more easily find you.

For Individual
and Student Members: These are non-commercial listings. Your
Description can NOT be selling any goods or services, other than
single-person freelance or consulting services. See
this page for
more details on these restrictions.
How to update your
information and/or Description
Log in to
the Member Management system
Click here to go to the Member Management & Online Store home page:
Click on "Login" in the left
side menu.

If this is your first time
using the system, your username is the email address associated with
your ILDA Membership. For the password, we sent
out around October 13 2009 an email with your password. If you cannot find
this email, contact ILDA. (Once you've entered your password for the
first time, you will be prompted to change it to something private that
you can remember.)

If you have already used the Member
Management system, you should see your name and email address under
"Your Information". This means you are already logged in.
Go to My Information
Once you have logged in, click on "My
Information" in the left side menu. Look towards the top of the page. It
should have your name as it appears in the database. Just below and to
the right is a link "Edit Information". If you click this link, you will
edit your individual information.
Usually, you want to edit your
company's information. You can do this if you are the primary
contact (owner or other person who registered the ILDA Membership).
Click at the bottom, in the "Linked Organizations Information" section.
You may be asked to log in again. If so,
do this.
You will then go to the Organization
Information page:
Click the "Edit Information" link to go
to the "Edit Organization Information" page. On this page, you can edit
contact information such as your address and phone numbers. To edit the
description, click on the "Edit Demographics" text which is in the upper
right corner. This brings up a small form with two fields.
Do not edit the field "Corp:
Yearly laser sales." (This is based on your dues. If you change it, you
may be charged more dues.) You can edit the Description field.
Tips for the
Description field

Make this a factual description, such as
"We do laser shows for corporations, festivals and theme parks."
Don't use boastful or advertising-type copy, such as "We have the
best and most exciting laser shows on Earth."

The Description field can be searched by
potential clients. Therefore, use words that they might use when looking
for lasershow-related goods and services. For example, list the types of
shows you do. If you sell a product, list the general type of product,
plus a brand name if appropriate (example: "We are a dealer for
LaserCorp laser projectors).

There is a limit on the length of the
Description field. At this time, ILDA does not know what the limit is.
Please keep it to a reasonable length such as a paragraph or two.
Once you have changed the Description,
click the "Save" button so your changes are saved.
