Standards
As an ILDA membership benefit, the Technical Committee provides a handbook of ILDA technical standards including information on the ILDA Standard Projector, Standard Test Pattern, and Standard Color Palette. The standards define data recording formats and specifications for a laser projector playing back the data. Using these standards, individuals and companies across the world can share laser show data files and be assured of reproducing a show as it was intended to be seen. • Current Standards: ILDA members can download copies of all current standards by visiting the Members Only section of this website. There is a small fee for nonmembers to purchase copies of the standards. • Proposed Standards: The ILDA Technical Committee gave its approval to new and revised preliminary standards that promise to make it easier for laserists to exchange shows and specify diffraction gratings. The committee invites all interested parties to submit comments on the proposals. The standards will continue to be designated as “preliminary” until at least October 1, 2005, giving the committee time to respond to comments and make any needed revisions. Copies of the latest revisions and proposals can be downloaded as PDF files by clicking on the following links:
Please address comments to the ILDA Technical Committee chairperson.
