Become a new ILDA member

Membership in ILDA is open to companies, organizations, and individuals who manufacture or use laser display devices or services. Members must affirm their commitment to safe laser shows, and to ILDA's Code of Ethics.

There are three ways to apply for an ILDA membership:

Apply online -- use the form below.
Apply by fax -- download a form and fax to ILDA (click for fax number)
Apply by phone -- call ILDA's Executive Director (click for phone number)

ILDA NEW MEMBER FORM

Your company or organization name:		Fill out if joining as a Corporate or Nonprofit Member. Leave blank if joining as an Individual or Student Member.

Type of membership desired

For companies, ILDA has three levels of Corporate membership. Your level depends on how much you made last year, in lasershow-related sales. This is your gross income, before any expenses or profit are taken out. If you are a company, choose the Corporate level based on your income last year. More details are here.

You must select one of the following six choices:

	CORPORATE LEVEL 1 Lasershow-related gross income (billings) of over USD $1,000,000 last year. ILDA dues: $1,000 per year. Receives 4 ILDA votes, and is listed 1st in our Member directories.
	CORPORATE LEVEL 2 Lasershow-related gross income (billings) between USD $250,000 and $1,000,000 last year. ILDA dues: $500 per year. Receives 3 ILDA votes, and is listed 2nd in our Member directories.
	CORPORATE LEVEL 3 Lasershow-related gross income (billings) of less than USD $250,000 last year. ILDA dues: $250 per year. Receives 2 ILDA votes, and is listed 3rd in our Member directories.
	NONPROFIT Museums, planetariums, schools, trade associations, national and local government offices, and other not-for-profit organizations. ILDA dues: $125 per year. Receives 1 ILDA vote, and is listed 4th in our Member directories.
	INDIVIDUAL A person who is interested in lasers, such as a hobbyist or freelance laserist. IMPORTANT: If you want to use a company name, or list a company website, do NOT choose Individual Membership. This is a non-commercial membership with restrictions, so that it is not for companies; instead, choose one of the three CORPORATE Memberships listed above. ILDA dues: $125 per year. Receives 1 ILDA vote, and is listed 5th in our Member directories.
	STUDENT A student enrolled full-time in an accredited secondary school, college or university. This is a non-commercial membership with restrictions, so that it is not for companies. ILDA dues: $50 per year. Does not have an ILDA vote, and is listed last in our Member directories.

Free listing in ILDA's directories

You are entitled to a free listing in ILDA's online directories. To use this, please provide a description of your company�s products and/or services. The description should be 50 words or less.

Please keep the description factual and objective. Here is an example: �XYZ Company has ten years of experience with laser shows for corporate presentations, trade shows, theme parks, concerts and special events. We also sell the UltraDazzle projector and are dealers for National Scanners.�
For Individual and Student Members, the description can be brief and non-commercial, such as "Freelance laserist available for hire, with LaserTerriffic software experience" or "Studying engineering and interested in laser displays".

Required membership agreements

To be an ILDA Member, you must commit to performing safe shows, to complying with applicable laws, and to following the ILDA Code of Ethics and Code of Business Practice. To do this, you must type "I agree" in all three of the boxes below.

		I have read, understand and acknowledge ILDA's Laser Show Safety - Basic Principles, including that laser shows must be safe, that laser safety guidelines should be followed at all times, and that pulsed lasers should never be used for audience scanning.
		I agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the country, state/province, and localities in which I operate and/or manufacture laser displays or public demonstrations.
		I agree to abide by the terms of ILDA's Bylaws, including the Code of Ethics and the Code of Business Practice. (This means that the ILDA Ethics Committee can work to resolve any disputes or ethics complaints.)

Special offer code

If you have a special offer code, giving you an additional discount on your membership dues, enter the code in the space below. The discount will be automatically applied to the dues invoice that we send you.

Note that 2013's special offer for new Members is only for companies or persons who have never before been an ILDA Member. The 2013 special offer will not apply to any current, renewing, or past Members.

Dues payment -- you will be invoiced

We accept Visa, Mastercard, AmEx, and Discover credit cards ILDA will calculate your dues based on the rates above. We will then email an invoice to you. You can pay the invoice by various ways: (credit card online, PayPal, wire transfer, check) which will be detailed on the invoice.

For new Members joining after April 1, first-year dues will have a discount applied since the first-year membership is not for a full year. The exact discount will be on the invoice, and is also online in a detailed table.
For existing Members renewing, all dues payments are for a full year, no matter when in the year payment is made. This includes anyone who was a Member up to three years ago.

NOTE: ILDA's Executive Director will be traveling Jan. 18 through Feb. 6 2013. It may take a few days to process your new Member application and send you an invoice. We appreciate your patience during this period, and thank you for applying to become an ILDA Member.
