By becoming a member of the International Laser Display Association (ILDA), Laser Display Professionals can reap many benefits including the following: Conferences: Each year, ILDA sponsors an annual conference. This meeting includes the Advanced Technology Workshop, Creative Seminar, Industry Trade Show, "Lase-Off", Awards Banquet and other events. Awards: Attending the annual ILDA Awards gives first hand insight as to the "State of the Art" in laser displays. Competing in the Awards allows Laser Display Artists to measure their skills against world standards. Publications & Internet: Membership includes a subscription to ILDA's magazine The Laserist which promotes ILDA member products and services. (Note that ILDA members get a discount on advertising space.) ILDA also maintains a Internet mailing list and a World Wide Web home page. Expert Advice From Peers: ILDA members have access to the innovators and experts in laser display technology. ILDA is a vehicle that brings Laser Display Professionals together to exchange advice, information and networking contacts. Advanced Technology Workshop (ATW): The annual ATW provides a forum for manufacturers to interact with ILDA members to introduce leading-edge technology and equipment. Several innovative products including faster galvos and PCAOMs have been introduced at ATWs. Input To Industry Standards: ILDA members can be involved with creating industry technology standards that stimulate display industry growth and prosperity by reducing the complexity of show production. Input To Regulatory Agencies: Members have been instrumental in helping establish/modify procedures and standards of governmental agencies such as the U.S. CDRH. Individual members can voice their concerns about modifying unreasonable safety procedures and standards to the ILDA Safety Committee. As an added benefit, the ILDA Safety Certification program allows members to remain current on prevailing standards and demonstrate proficiency to governing agencies. Input To Manufacturers: ILDA members can attend vendor roundtable meetings and provide input into designs and/or modifications so as to insure product conformity to display industry requirements. Committee Participation: Committee participation allows members to contribute to the industry in their specific area of interest or expertise. Present committees include: Safety, Education, Public Awareness, Awards, Ethics, Planetarium/Science Centers and Technical. Ethics: The ILDA Ethics Code requires all members to treat one another in a fair and professional manner. In the event of a dispute, the ILDA Ethics Committee can act to reach a fair settlement. Fellowship: ILDA provides an international organization in which members, regardless of their company size and geographic location, can have a sense of belonging and enjoyment from interacting with their peers. Foreign chapters can further enhance the familiar support of a small industry in a big world.

All membership categories include the following: Access to all annual membership meetings. Receive all publications. Allowed active participation in all committees. Discounted ads in THE LASERIST magazine. Participation in the Trade Show.

To be a member is good standing of the International Laser Display Association (ILDA): Members must qualify in one of five divisions of membership and must warrant by their signature and statement whether they are manufactures or users of laser devices and / or offer laser display services. Members must pay applicable dues according to the schedule established by the Board of Directors. All members who manufacture or use laser devices for rental, sale, or public demonstration in the United States, must supply ILDA with a copy of their current FDA Variance Number or Compliance Number. Members will uphold the bylaws of ILDA. Members will comply and uphold the Code of Ethics.

I, the undersigned, in accordance with the International Laser Display Association's (ILDA's) purpose of improving and advancing the laser display industry, understand that by becoming a member of ILDA, I agree to the following: I will comply with all applicable laws and regulations of the government, state ,and localities in which I operate and/or manufacture laser devices. I will pay dues according to the annual schedule established by the Board of Directors and described more fully in Article V of the bylaws. I will uphold the bylaws of ILDA and specifically by the Code of Ethics as set forth by Article VI of the bylaws. I hereby indemnify ILDA from any or all liability which may arise by reason of enforcement of the Code of Ethics. I also agree to indemnify ILDA for losses, claims, or liability which ILDA may incur as a result of my business transactions. I warrant that I represent (myself) (my firm) and that (I am) (my firm is) (I am not) (my firm is not) a manufacturer of laser devices and/or services and (am) (am not) (is) (is not) required to have a current FDA variance/compliance number. If (my) (my firm's) status changes, I will notify ILDA immediately and, if required by the change, agree to obtain a variance or compliance number within 60 days of the change. An FDA Variance/Compliance Number is only necessary for those doing business within the U.S. I understand that my failure to comply with the membership requirements may result in the termination of my membership in ILDA.

Corporate Membership: Any firm which employs lasers in a public or private display to anyone outside their employees (i.e. producer of laser display) shall be eligible for membership in the corporate category. Corporate members are entitled to all basic benefits plus..... Listed by company name in Membership Directory, Categories 1 & 2 - four voting members, Category 3 - two voting members. Affiliate Membership: Refers to vendors, industry suppliers, interest groups, and publishers. Also, operators and users of laser display services and equipment (for example: an amusement park, casino, nightclub, etc.). Affiliate members are entitled to all basic benefits plus..... Listed by company name in Membership Directory, two voting members. Not-For-Profit Membership: Refers to organizations such as planetariums that are not incorporated as for-profit. Not-For-Profit members are entitled to all basic benefits plus..... Listed by company name in Membership Directory, one voting member. Individual Membership: Membership as an individual, not a company representative. Individual Members are entitled to all basic benefits plus..... Listed by individual's name in Membership Directory, one vote. Student Membership: Refers to currently registered full-time students. Students must show proof of current registration. Student Members are entitled to all basic benefits plus..... Listed by individuals name in Membership Directory, one vote.

Dues shall be payable no later than the first day of the Annual Conference. The ILDA dues year runs from November to November (Conference to Conference).
