Now Featuring Graphics from the

1997 ILDA AWARDS ENTRIES

One of the most prized honors in the laser industry is the ILDA Award for Outstanding Laser Display. Each year, laserists from around the world submit entries to ILDA's judging panel for awards in such display categories as Corporate Theatre, Graphic Animation, Outdoor Show, and Static Animation, to name just a few. Awards are also presented to recognize new technologies and products. The awards are presented at a gala banquet that has become the highlight of the annual ILDA Conference.

A new holiday theme park in the Netherlands celebrated its opening with a spectacular lakeside celebration that included lasers by ABC Laser Events. Small boats sped across the water trailing smoke as the audience watched from the shore

Laseronics Northwest produced this psychedelic laser image using analog signal processors. It is from a planetarium show called "Sleepless".

LOBO electronic staged this elaborate photo in their Aalen, Germany, studio to portray the aesthetics of man and light. The model was required to stay motionless for an extended period to capture this unretouched photo image.

Audio Visual Imagineering's "Wish" is a snapshot of a moment during a laser show - a moment chosen to capture the electric chaos of techno-rock music.

Argentina's Buenos Aires Laser SRL produced a 12 minute show for the opening of the Parque de la Costa park in Buenas Aires. Lasers projected images onto a water screen in a show that highlighted the park's attractions.

tarm SLL Technik's "Lost in the Past" indoor show at the SIB '97 Rimini trade fair used seven scan heads to envelop the audience in cascades of moving laser beams.

"Digital Dreams" is the title of the beam show produced by es-Lasersystems of Hechingen, Germany. The three-scanner show was performed at an event sponsored by HMI-COngress, Germany's largest insurance company.

LOBO Electronic showed off its laser performance capabilities at the SIB '97 fair in Rimini, Italy and the PALA '97 fair in Singapore. Laser graphics and an extensive beam show were featured in a presentation called "This is My Land - The Story."
