Welcome to Laser Jam 2007

Well we are at it again!

The laser Jam was started in 2002 by Rob Mudryk (rMud), Glenn Turner (Laser Hero) & Cory Simpson (KOHR). We also had alot of help from many of the worlds best laser artist and programmers. Together we created the first ever, international collaborative laser production. "Invasion of the Troglodytes!" about a Cave Man looking for a Woman. The show was a great success and debuted at the 2002 ILDA trade show in Orlando Florida.

We then proceeded to make "Cow Wars" for 2003. The project turned out to be more ambitious than we could pull off. So we cut the show in half and stated it would be continued..... well that didn't happen. We all got burned out and busy with paying projects.

For this years Jam we have decided to keep it simple and go back to basics. "25 dots, 10 lines or 5 circles" is the theme. Each artist will get a 30 second spot to create whatever he/she would like using ONLY a combination of the previous theme. They will then be linked together and scored with music. This way we don't waste time on voting for music and topics.

Hopefully this production will be displayed at this years ILDA in China. To be held on March 9th-11th.

Currently we are going to score the piece in post production. Marc has the main file for Pangolin, but I haven't heard from him.

That brings up a good question - do I need to work in Pangolin? Is everyone working in Pangolin?

Hello,

You can use any software package that can output an ILDA compatible frame stream. Or you can add to the existing QM32 Showtime file via Pangolin.
