Hi everyone

I am an events/party promoter and I would like to use a laser show for two things
1) to promote events outdoors (against walls etc)
2) to entertain indoors (display text messages & thank you/birthday messages etc)

Thing is budget is very very tight and I have done a bit of research and Ive concluded that I can put together a budget system for about £500.00 (580 Euro)

What I need now is advice.

If anyone knows or better still recommend a set up that is cheaper or is better than the what i have suggested below. Also have i got the figures right? (outdoors: I only want to project less than 1km away so is the laser below strong enough / also im happy with just one colour so is there 1 colour that tends to be cheaper etc)

any help suggestions would be very much appreciated etc

Suggested set up below:

Software

Laser unit

P.s. the images I plan on projecting outdoors would mostly be text with the odd dancing silhouette thrown in etc.

Thanks

Green is the way to go - brighter and less expensive!

I think the 50-75 mW will be fine indoors. Outdoors it will be OK if it is very dark. If there is any ambient light, or projecting over 50 meters or so, you will want a more powerful laser.

Thanks Tim
I think I will be projecting over 100 metres so Ill look for a more powerful unit. ;)
