Thanks for the useful information.I just bought a green green laser pointer (http://www.freaklasers.com) from LPP.I am testing it now.

There isn't enough info here to understand the problem.
If you're interested in an analytical solution: If the plane wave is coherent with the laser (e.g., same source) it's just a matter of path lengths and wavelength. You'd need to pick one particular point on the sphere or you'll get a distrtibution of path lengths. If the two sources are not coherent but are monochromatic (they have to be), you have a time-varying phase difference.
If you want an experimental setup: You need to project both sources onto a screen with roughly equal intensities so you can see interference fringes. Again, the reflection from a sphere will be a problem because it isn't a point source, so reflection path lengths are continuously distributed over some range. Also, dispersing the laser light to cover an area would introduce the same sort of distribution.

nice, the information is really very useful! laser pointer is my favorite.
