Hi All,

Well, after 25 years or so in the industrial controls business I have decided to retire. ConQuip (the old Logic Systems) will continue to make and sell those popular DMX driver cards we laserist and fountain people love so much. Jeff Thon is your engineering contact there now.

Knowing I would get bored pretty quickly just sitting around  .. I got a new job already! I have changed careers completely. I am not sure how this will effect my time to play with lasers, but I imagine it will... and hopefully for the better! At 50 years old, a change to something "more funner" is a "gooder" thing!

As of Nov. 1, 2006 I will be working at LED Effects in Rancho Cordova California. http://www.ledeffects.com My email there will be craig@ledeffects.com  My craig@lsione.com email still works and should continue for quite awhile.

I hope to have time in the future to come back and serve ILDA yet again. I will still be around, just playing with LEDs and lasers and learning my new vocation!

Cya all here in the forum,

Craig Nelson

Well, at least LEDs are closer to your laser heart than industrial controls :) . I checked out the LED Effects website. It looks like a good company with a solid engineering base. Will they be exhibiting at LDI or anywhere else that laserists might go? Will you be at LDI?

LED Effects will be at LDI with a HUGE mesh video wall. Also the distributor Lumient will be there as well. Lumient is Kelly Sticksel from Magic Fire Laser Shows.

I will also be at LDI in the booth.. So if you come to LDI, come see me!

I think I will have a great time playing with the bright lights.. both Lasers and LEDs.. This new chapter in my life should be just way too fun.. even though it means more working hours.. it will keep me closer to the entertainment end of the world..

Tim it is good to see you back in the saddle at ILDA! We missed ya!
