Laser gurus,

Hopefully this is an easy question... How many characters of text (simultaneously displayed letters) you can project using a 30K scanner?

I understand that this depends on the letters, and on the complexity of the font, but does anyone have a rule of thumb for a basic text display? Or is there some free software I could download to get an estimate for any string of text?

At the very least, can you tell me the order of magnitude - 10s of letters, 100s, 1000s?

Apologies if this is covered elsewhere - I'm a total newbie to the world of laser display. :)

Cheers!

10's of letters....not hundreds!

I think it's not more than 10

Well, it depends on the font you use. A stick font can easily do 12-16 letters in a scroll across the screen.
