ILDA Member Discount Program

One of the benefits of ILDA Membership is the Member Discount Program. You can get discounted rates on equipment and services from the Participating Merchants listed below. The savings can be significant; one Merchant in 2006 gave out USD $23,000 in discounts to fellow ILDA Members!

If you do business with the Participating Merchants, you may find that the discounts easily pay for your ILDA Membership. Similarly, if you are a seller who wants to offer discounts to ILDA Members, this may help increase your business.

• Laseronics: ILDA members get a 25 percent discount on laser artwork purchased at www.laserframes.net.
   
• Lasertainment offers DPSS Laser tune ups for only $500.00. This includes evaluation, cleaning and realignment. This does not include parts or shipping.
       In 2006 Lasertainment moved into its new facility and just recently finished its all new clean room. We have owned and rebuilt many of the Nd:YAG Melles Griot laser systems. Our last one was only performing about 50mW and after cleaning and realignment, it is now doing 2.3 watts. We have found that the parts that are glued can shift out of alignment over time and as a result you lose a significant amount of power.
       If you have a DPSS laser that is out of warranty and not performing to specification. Lasertainment is now offering to all ILDA members a laser tune up.
        We do not stock parts and some parts are exclusive to Melles Griot only or the manufacture. Should your laser need more then the cleaning and realignment. We will evaluate the system and give you a recommendation. We will warranty our service only. If you send us a laser that has other problems we will not warranty them or be responsible for any other issues. www.lasertainment.com
   
• Pangolin Laser Systems: 10% discount on software upgrades. Free scanner modification and tune-ups for ILDA Members (contact Pangolin for details of what needs to be sent to Pangolin; here is an online example of a free Pangolin tune-up).  www.pangolin.com

       ILDA Members receive free admission; please contact ILDA in March 2008 to get your tickets. Also, ILDA Members who wish to exhibit receive a 10% discount off the space-only rate of US$360 per m² for stands booked by Dec. 31 2007. There is a 5% discount thereafter until March 30 2008.

Program rules and limitations...

... for ILDA Members using the discounts

• The discounts are available only to active ILDA Members. In general, if a company is listed in the online Membership Directory, and the type is not "grayed out", then the company is a current, active ILDA Member.
• Individual and Student members can only apply these discounts to personal purchases, see the Restrictions page for more details.

... for Participating Merchants

• Participating Merchants can offer discounts and/or other "bonus" services.
• These should be available only to ILDA Members, and not be generally or routinely offered to non-members.
• Any discount offered should be 5% or more. For some items with high prices and low margins, a smaller discount would be acceptable since it could reflect significant savings.
• The terms of the discounts are up to the Participating Merchants. For example, most Merchants require that you ask for the discount at time of order or purchase -- if you don't ask, they don't have to offer the discounts.
• For 2007, we are using an older list of Merchants. Some of these discounts may no longer be available. Beginning in January 2008, we will ask Merchants to re-affirm their discounts, and ask that they be available through the entire year.
• A Participating Merchant does not have to be an ILDA Member. Anyone selling to our Members is welcome.

Expired discounts

The discounts below have expired, but are presented here to give an idea of the type of discounts possible on other events in the future.

• SIB 2006: One of the world's largest entertainment shows, held March 11-14 in Rimini Italy, will also be host to the 2006 ILDA Conference. We are planning a special ILDA Village on the trade show floor that focuses on laser companies. ILDA members can purchase a 4m x 4m stand for the discounted rate of 1,200 Euros. Please contact ILDA for more details.
        The organizers of the  fair are offering a 15 percent discount to ILDA members who had a stand at the fair in 2004, with the discount applied to the sq. meters over and above the area they had in 2004; confirmations and deposits must be received by Nov. 15, 2005. New exhibitors from ILDA will receive the basic rate for one on-aisle front stand (48 sq. meters), with a 10 percent discount for all sq. meters above this level. There are some restrictions on this offer, which must be acted on by Nov. 15.
