Conference
March 9-11 at Neo-Neon in China
Meet
us in China, Friday March 9 to Sunday March 11, 2007 for ILDA's Annual
Conference. The host is Neo-Neon and Jim Hardaway of their Neo-Laser
division. We will be able to meet and visit in Neo-Neon's extensive
facilities, with hotel accomodations nearby. The factory tour should be
interesting to many attendees.
(In addition to the ILDA Meeting, some ILDA Members are having their own product meetings on the day before or after the conference. So you may need to come in early or stay late if these meetings interest you. Click here for the product meetings schedule.)
Getting there
The closest international city is Hong Kong -- a great place to extend your China visit before or after the Conference!
The best way to get to Neo-Neon is to fly into Hong Kong, then take a ferry to the location in Gonghe town, Heshan city, Guangdong province. ILDA has looked into this and the process is actually easy. We've prepared a page of travel tips on how to get there, plus maps of Hong Kong (a great place to visit before or after the conference), and information on visa requirements for Hong Kong and China.
About the Conference
The ILDA Conference includes the ILDA Trade Show, seminars on laser show topics, a factory tour of Neo-Neon, an informal showing of laser works called the "Lase-Off", the ILDA Awards presentation, and two business meetings for Members.
The ILDA Conference is open to both ILDA Members and to non-members; however, non-members do pay more for registration. The registration form for ILDA Members is here; the registration form for non-members is here. You can register for the entire Conference, or for selected parts such as the Trade Show, Lase-Off and Awards. Note that hotel room and other meals are separate.

is an ILDA-focused visit. We meet at the Neo-Neon factory complex, which
includes state-of-the-art facilities
for ILDA functions. It will be less expensive than previous ILDA
Conferences. |

Hong Kong (HKG): Los Angeles 14.5 hours; Orlando
20 hrs; London 11.5 hrs; Frankfurt 11 hrs; Moscow 13 hrs; Sydney 9 hrs,
Tokyo 4.25 hrs. To the above times, add transfer time and a 2.5 hr ferry ride from Hong Kong to the location. (Ferry is fastest way to Heshan. Cost is US$20-30 depending on class.) |

Business visas will be required for entry into China. Neo-Neon and ILDA

| Notes |
The facilities are ideal for a laser/lighting conference, with plenty of
equipment available. A tour of the factory complex should be
interesting to many attendees. The tour will include the Laser Factory, Moving
Head Factory, all eight showrooms, and possibly the LED Factory. China is an important market, and will be hosting the 2008 Olympics. This could be advantageous for new members in and near China. This will be the first ILDA conference in Asia
and China. |
