2007 ILDA Awards entries
The deadline for sending entries to the 2007 ILDA Awards has passed (it
was Dec. 17, 2007). Below is a list of entries which have been received
by ILDA. If your package is not on this list, please check your tracking
number. If the tracking information shows the package was delivered, and
after a day or two you do not see it here, please
contact ILDA.

from 10 different companies 2007 Entries by Format Entries can be in laser format (ADAT or laser software files) or in video format (DVD, or video files such as AVI, WMV or QuickTime). Some categories such as Multimedia or Live State Performance can only be presented in video format, since they include non-laser elements.

page is for ILDA Members who wish to enter the 2007
ILDA Awards. Winners of these awards will be
announced and presented at the ILDA Awards Banquet during the 2008 ILDA Conference.
There are four main awards categories: Artistic, Technical, Product of the Year, and Career Achievement Award. Details are below.

based on presentations to the Advanced Technology Workshop. The next one
will be at the ILDA Conference in 2008. The conference date has not been set. When the conference
gets closer, information will be available about these awards.

Achievement Awards

You do not need a special entry form for this. Here is how to enter:
ILDA is now accepting nominations for the Career Achievement Award. The deadline for nominations is the same as for the Artistic and Fenning Awards:

You can nominate anyone who is an "exceptional individual with a distinguished history of achievement in the laser display industry." The nominee can be anyone -- they do not have to be an ILDA Member. (You can even nominate yourself, if you wish!)
In the past, there have been three broad categories of winners:
- those who helped build significant laser display-related businesses,
- those who made artistic and technical achivements, and
- those who worked to improve ILDA and the laser display industry.
The nominee can have achieved in one, two or all three of these areas. In whatever area(s) they worked, the person should have made significant and lasting achievements in the field of laser display.
How to enter
To enter, submit the nominee's name, plus a biography/description of the person. This should go beyond just a "resume listing" of places they have worked. It should Include information about the career of the nominee and why his or her achievements are significant. Feel free to work with the nominee, to have him or her help put together the biography/description.
As a guide, past submissions have been from 1 to 10 pages, with the average about 2-3 pages.
Send your CAA nomination via e-mail to ILDA's Executive Director. Your nomination submission will be passed on to the CAA judges in confidence; no one will be told who made the nomination.
Judging process
In early 2008, a group of laser professionals chosen by ILDA from around the world will judge the submissions. And, at the 2008 ILDA Conference, the winner of the 2007 Career Achievement Award will be announced.
