Escape
from the Conference Hotel:

It's
audience scanning of a different sort: the audience
is trapped in a cage and moved up, down and
sideways until they scream for mercy. Stuttgart's
Cannstatter Volkfest was a big, bright party with
many thrill rides. Buses took members there
at the end of the first day of the Conference.

Many
beer halls dotted the fairgrounds, but
getting inside took a long wait.

Stuttgart
itself was a charming city,
complete with Royal Palaces, art
galleries, cafes and museums.

The
pre-conference reception took place at
LOBO electronic's ultra-modern new
headquarters, and I regret that I did not
have my camera at hand. LOBO's Alex
Hennig is seen here (left) at the
reception with A.M. Baghdadi of the
Wonders of Holography Laser Team.

An
image from LOBO's "Dreamscape," show, one of
several that were shown to ILDA members attending
the reception. The beams and graphics shows, presented
in a state-of-the-art studio, were a highlight of the trip.
